Recovery is not one-size-fits-all. Our continuum of care ensures a seamless transition through each phase of treatment, adjusting intensity as you grow stronger in your sobriety.
Medical Detox
The first step: safely clearing substances from your body under 24/7 medical supervision. We manage withdrawal symptoms and stabilize your physical health.
Residential Treatment
Full-time, live-in treatment where you focus entirely on recovery. Intensive therapy, skill-building, and peer support in a structured environment.
Partial Hospitalization (PHP)
A bridge between residential and outpatient. Attend programming 5–6 days per week while living at home or in sober housing.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
Continue therapy and group sessions 3–5 days a week while re-engaging with work, school, and family life.
Standard Outpatient & Aftercare
Ongoing individual counseling, relapse prevention groups, and alumni support to sustain long-term recovery.
Medical Detoxification
Medical detox is the critical first step in addiction treatment. At Brightside Rehab, our medically supervised detoxification program provides a safe, comfortable environment where you can withdraw from substances under the care of experienced physicians and nurses, available around the clock.
Detox alone is not treatment — it is the foundation upon which lasting recovery is built. Our team ensures that once you are stabilized, you transition seamlessly into the next appropriate level of care.
The Detox Process
Assessment
Upon arrival, our medical team conducts a comprehensive evaluation including physical health, substance use history, mental health screening, and lab work. This determines the safest, most effective detox protocol for your needs.
Stabilization
Using evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and 24/7 medical monitoring, we manage withdrawal symptoms, reduce discomfort, and address any medical complications. Our nursing staff checks vitals regularly and adjusts medications as needed.
Transition to Treatment
Once medically stable, your clinical team collaborates with you on an individualized treatment plan and guides you into residential or outpatient programming for continued recovery.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment
Nearly half of individuals struggling with addiction also live with a co-occurring mental health disorder. At Brightside Rehab, our dual diagnosis program treats both conditions simultaneously, because addressing only one without the other significantly increases the risk of relapse.
Our integrated approach combines addiction treatment with comprehensive psychiatric care, ensuring that the underlying mental health conditions driving substance use are properly diagnosed and treated alongside the addiction itself.
Co-Occurring Conditions We Treat
Depression
Major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, and substance-induced depression. Treatment includes therapy, medication management, and behavioral activation strategies.
Anxiety Disorders
Generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, and substance-related anxiety. We use CBT, exposure therapy, relaxation techniques, and appropriate medication when indicated.
PTSD & Trauma
Post-traumatic stress disorder and complex trauma. Our trauma-informed care model integrates EMDR, somatic experiencing, and cognitive processing therapy into addiction treatment.
Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar I and II disorders, including manic and depressive episodes complicated by substance use. Mood stabilization and coordinated psychiatric care are central to treatment.
Our Integrated Approach
Dual diagnosis treatment at Brightside Rehab is not two separate programs running side by side — it is a unified, cohesive treatment plan designed by a multidisciplinary team of addiction specialists and mental health professionals.
- Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation: Every client receives a thorough psychiatric assessment to identify co-occurring conditions that may have gone undiagnosed.
- Medication Management: Our psychiatrist works closely with your treatment team to prescribe and monitor medications for both mental health and addiction recovery.
- Evidence-Based Therapies: CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and other modalities are tailored to address the interplay between mental health and substance use.
- Individual & Group Therapy: Specialized dual diagnosis groups provide peer support and shared learning, while individual sessions address your unique needs.
- Family Education: Family therapy and educational sessions help loved ones understand both conditions and learn how to support your recovery effectively.
- Coordinated Aftercare: Discharge planning includes referrals to outpatient psychiatric care, medication management, and community support resources.
